Trail Ride
Trail Rides - These rides have routes that are planned to happen predominantly on bike trails. Some examples would be the Great Allegheny Passage/C&O Canal Towpath (Washington D.C. to Pittsburgh), the Delaware & Lehigh Trail, Erie Canal Trail and the Katy Trail (Missouri).

Silver Bullet (Georgia) and Chief Ladiga (Alabama) Trails
April 1-9, 2024
This beautiful trail ride starts in Smyrna, Georgia and hooks up with the Chief Ladiga Trail in Alabama. We will ride 93 miles south on these paved rail trails. Then we will ride a loop on roads in Alabama and get back on the trails to return to Smyrna. We will “camp” in churches each night.

Fred Meijer White Pine Trail (Michigan) and Wabash Cannonball Trail (Ohio)
July 21-26, 2024
Join ride champion: Ken Gifford, as we cycle out and back the Fred Meijer White Pine Trail (92.6 miles)starting in the bustling Grand Rapids community to the forests, farmlands, and friendly towns of Northern Lower Michigan and then travel to northwest Ohio to the North Fork of the Wabash Cannonball Trail (45.6 miles) through the small towns that were once bustling with railroad activity.
On Sunday, July 21, we will meet at Norwalk UMC, 60 W Main St, Norwalk, Ohio 44857 for a 2:00 p.m departure to Grand Rapids, Michigan. We will spend Sunday night in Grand Rapids and begin our journey on Monday to Stanwood and Tuesday to Cadillac. We will ride 45-50 miles each day. We will ride the trail in reverse Wednesday and Thursday. Friday morning we will drive to Montpelier, Ohio to the Wabash Cannonball Trailhead. We will begin our ride here and conclude it in Maumee. After completing Friday's ride, we will drive immediately back to Norwalk.
Both trail surfaces are asphalt and crushed limestone.
